Atlantic for Kids' 2017-2018 Season opens today, September 16, with the family musical Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, inspired by Ruby Bridges and the Little Rock Nine featuring music by Greg Borowsky and Douglas Lyons, lyrics and concept by Douglas Lyons, book by Melvin Tunstall III and direction by Tamilla Woodard.

McAninch Arts Center (MAC), located at 425 Fawell Blvd., on the campus of College of DuPage opens its 2017-2018 Performance Series with the Tuesdays with Morrie starring Jamie Farr Saturday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. This is the exclusive Chicago area engagement of LPP Theatricals, LLC production of North American Tour of the two-man play, Tuesdays With Morrie, based on the book by Mitch Albom, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, directed by Ron Ulrich and starring Jamie Farr with co-star David Keeley.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the New York premiere of Pulitzer Prize finalist and Lortel and Obie Award winner Rajiv Joseph's (Guards at the Taj) play Describe the Night, directed by Giovanna Sardelli (Animals Out of Paper).

MNM Productions' Company is the latest venture by theatrical producers and arts consultants Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz. Company is their sixth major musical following A Chorus Line, Side By Side By Sondheim, Hair, The World Goes 'Round and, most recently, Monty Python's Spamalot. MNM Productions' Company will be appearing at the Marshall E. Rinker Playhouse of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts through August 6, 2017.

After a career in opera, Mary Beth Peil made her Broadway debut in 1985's THE KING AND I, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award. Now, 32 years later, she's back on the ballot, earning herself a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performances as the dazzling Dowager Empress in Anastasia. Irish Repertory Theatre has announced its Summer 2017 Season. On the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage will be WOODY SEZ: THE LIFE & MUSIC OF WOODY GUTHRIE, directed by Nick Corley (Kissing Jessica Stein).

Urban Stages' Board of Directors and founding artistic director Frances Hill will celebrate 'The Magic of Set and Costume Design' by presenting the 2017 Urban Stages' Lifetime Achievement Award to Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award-winning legendary set and costume designer Tony Walton presented by Broadway, television and film star Melissa Errico ('Billions', My Fair Lady, High Society, Encores' Do I Hear a Waltz?) at their gala benefit at the Boathouse in Central Park at 6:30PM on May 15, 2017.

Titicut Follies: The Ballet, a world premiere ballet choreographed by James Sewell and inspired by Frederick Wiseman's startling 1967 documentary, will run for three performances, April 28 - 30, 2017 at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Titicut Follies: The Ballet will be performed by the James Sewell Ballet, with an original score by Lenny Pickett.

The Lyric Hammersmith has announced its new season running May 2017 to January 2018 including three major new productions: a UK premiere, a new adaptation of a classic and the return of the now traditional Lyric pantomime.

David Mirvish, Michael Harrison, John Reid and Paul Elliott are delighted to present the Canadian premiere of the new British musical MRS HENDERSON PRESENTS, based on the smash-hit film.  Performances begin Wednesday March 15 through April 23 at Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre.  Media night is Wed March 22, 2017
