In 2019, Flushing Town Hall offers a breadth of outstanding global music, family programs, exhibitions, jazz and workshops. From January through June, Flushing Town Hall will present 72 programs, including 18 world music shows, 10 jazz performances, eight family programs, seven classical music concerts, three exhibitions, and more.  The spring season is a continuation of 40th anniversary celebrations of the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts (FCCA), the steward of Flushing Town Hall.

Arkells have announced the 2019 headline leg of their worldwide RALLY CRY tour on sale TODAY. KYO-SHIN-AN ARTS  is a contemporary music organization celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season. From groundbreaking to mainstream, over the last decade KSA has built and promoted a wide body of new classical repertoire combining Japanese and Western instruments.  Commissions to date total 27 composers for 45 new works. 2018-19 continues KSA's annual five-concert series at the Tenri Cultural Institute in Manhattan and marks the launch of its next decade with a distinctive, two-year 'Septet Commissioning Project.'

CBS News will present SUNDAY'S BEST: CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF CBS SUNDAY MORNING, a new, one-hour primetime special spotlighting the best original reporting on the arts, humanities, entertainment, music and much more to be broadcast Friday, Sept. 14 (8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Liz Cooper & The Stampede's anticipated debut full-length album, Window Flowers, is now streaming as part of NPR Music's “First Listen” series. Listen here. Emerging Nashville-based band Liz Cooper & The Stampede will release their anticipated debut full-length album, Window Flowers, August 10 on the band's own label, Sleepyhead Records, via Thirty Tigers (pre-order). Fleetwood Mac has announced their North American tour that will cover more than 50 cities and carry them through until the spring of 2019. The tour is produced by Live Nation and launches October 3, 2018 in Oklahoma. See the full list of tour dates below.

Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, concludes its 2017/18 season with the Asolo Repertory Theatre, Arena Stage, Pasadena Playhouse production of The Originalist by John Strand, directed by Molly Smith with Associate Director Seema Sueko, and featuring Edward Gero as Antonin Scalia. The Originalist runs May 10 - June 10, 2018 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Ave. The press opening is Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 8:00pm.

Award-winning pioneer playwright Qui Nguyen brilliantly chronicles the love story of his parents' meeting in an Arkansas refugee center after fleeing Vietnam after the fall of Saigon in 1975. It's a buddy story, an all-American romance, and a motorcycle road-trip adventure that reexamines how we think about the heroes and victims of the Vietnam War. Vietgone skips through time and roams the globe with snarky humor, hip-hop, and lots of sex. It's one ironic, foul-mouthed, bad-ass new play.

From the band's formation by the late Damon Edge in 1975, joined by longtime vocalist/guitarist Helios Creed in '77, Chrome has developed a unique methodology within the band, bringing art into sound, splicing in a Sci-Fi collage of sound bites, combining searing rock with noise, weirdness, pile driver rhythms (including scrap metal percussion), heavy rhythm-guitar riffs, effects-laden vocals, psychedelic guitar leads, and mindbending audio manipulations. Known for their experimental, de/re-construction of rock and roll, the seminal post-punk psychedelic outfit will embark on a major US tour this Spring to support their 21st studio album 'Techromancy', which was released last year on Cleopatra Records.  With driving rhythms and metallic riffs of their more rocking early '80s 'Red Exposure' period, the new album, which Creed describes as 'a natural progression of the original Chrome idea', is the follow up to their 2014 double studio album 'Feel It Like a Scientist'.   

Country legends Johnny Lee and Mickey Gilley will be joining forces to co-headline the Urban Cowboy Reunion Tour beginning January 26. The two friends are reuniting for a series of live concert dates throughout 2018.
