The Colony Theatre is thrilled to present the fourth production of its 37th season of shows - the Los Angeles Premiere of TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT, written by Graham Greene, adapted for the stage by Giles Havergal, and directed by David Dean Bottrell.
The Castillo Theatre (Dan Friedman, artistic director, Diane Stiles, managing director) is opening its 28th theatre season with the revival of its first show, Friedman's The Learning Play of Rabbi Levi-Yitzhok, Son of Sara, of Berditchev, directed by Moshe Yassur, a veteran of the Romanian, Israeli and French stages and the former director of the Jewish division of the New Federal Theatre.
Following acclaimed performances internationally, Theatre for a New Audience, in association with Baryshnikov Arts Center, will present the New York premiere of C.I.C.T. / Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord's Fragments from the texts by Samuel Beckett for only 29 performances at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, 450 West 37th Street.

On April 9 and 10, Frey will inhabit Beckett's poetry and wit for two nights only of special performances.

As previously reported, Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna have decided to collaborate on their upcoming show efforts and will jointly star in All About Me. The New York Times has reported today that All About Me shall run at the Golden Theater. Previews will begin on February 19 with an official opening night of March 18.

The New York Philharmonic will present SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert on March 15 and Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. This celebration of the 80th birthday of the great Broadway and film composer/lyricist will include his most enduring orchestral music and songs - performed, in some cases, by the stars of the original Broadway cast productions - in addition to rarely-heard material. Joining the celebration will be (in alphabetical order) Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, and others to be announced, including surprise guests. Paul Gemignani, Mr. Sondheim's longtime collaborator, will conduct the New York Philharmonic; Lonny Price is the director; and Mr. Price and Matt Cowart are the producers.

The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia presented a Special Recognition Award to Deen Kogan, and posthumously, to her husband Jay Kogan, at an annual Membership Meeting and press conference announcing the nominations for the 2009 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre. The Kogans were spotlighted this year in honor of the 50th anniversary season of Society Hill Playhouse, which they founded.
