The Kennedy Center has announced its 2019-2020 season for the National Symphony Orchestra Pops. Tony Award winner and original Hamilton cast member Leslie Odom Jr. will lead NSO's annual Holiday Pops! concert from December 13-14. Two more Broadway favorites, Tony nominee Megan Hilty (Wicked, 9 to 5, Smash) and Cheyenne Jackson (Xanadu, Aida, American Horror Story) will join forces to perform a series of concerts over Valentine's Day weekend, featuring songs from Broadway, film, and the American Songbook.

What makes a Broadway theatre? Technically any venue with 500 seats or more, located along Broadway in New York City's Theatre District is a Broadway theatre, and the art that is produced in these special places is widely considered the highest form of theatrical entertainment in the world. Today, forty-one theatres are technically Broadway houses, each with their own rich history. Below, we're giving you the scoop on the life of every one of them!

At midnight on April 16th, Wharton Center for the Performing Arts in East Lansing debuted their 2019-2020 season. As far as seasons go, this one, chock-full of recent and classic Broadway hits, is sure to excite season ticket holders and newcomers alike.

NBC has won the primetime ratings week of Oct. 29-Nov. 4 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and every other key ratings demographic, according to “live plus same day” viewership figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The holiday season is here at last, and in just weeks, the world will be spreading yuletide cheer by decking the halls, wrapping the gifts and sipping the eggnog. 'Orphaned Songs for Orphaned Starfish' - a concert of composer Stephen Schwartz (Monday, November 19 at The Cutting Room), was an evening of unsung/cut songs from Wicked, Pippin, Working, and Children of Eden along with a new duet from the stage production of The Prince of Egypt. The concert also included some favorites from The Bakers Wife, Magic Show, Pippin, Pocahontas, Wicked and his opera Seance On a Wet Afternoon. The benefit evening for The Orphaned Starfish Foundation raised over $60,000.

The Stratford Festival lost one of its pioneers today. Douglas Rain died of natural causes early this morning at the age of 90 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, just outside of Stratford, Ontario, the city in which he established his career, becoming one of the world's great classical actors.

An array of  talent from Broadway and stage will join composer Stephen Schwartz for a special concert titled 'Orphaned Songs for Orphaned Starfish.'  The 7:00 pm event on  Monday, November 19th, and held at The Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd Street, NYC  benefits The Orphaned Starfish Foundation www.osf.org. It features an evening of unsung and new songs as well as hits by Stephen Schwartz.
