The Aspen Music Festival and School and Theatre Aspen announced today that, this summer, their organizations will again collaborate to present a very special concert production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical The Sound of Music on Monday, July 25 and Tuesday, July 26 at 7:30 pm in the Benedict Music Tent.

GREAT Theatre will welcome families back into the theatre with its next production, The Sound of Music, at the Paramount Center for the Arts in St. Cloud, MN. Performances run November 13-28. Live stream performances are available on November, 13th and 28th only.

Broadway Palm's production of The Sound of Music is a delight from the moment Melissa Whitworth as Maria does that iconic twirl, arms outstretched to embrace us. And really. Who among us can resist a stage full of kids? Or nuns?

For one night only, the iconic musical GYPSY will play a concert performance at Alexandra Palace  Theatre. The evening will feature seven leading ladies sharing the role of Rose. 

TFANA and Saint Flashlight present The Will of the City, poems inspired by playwright and poet William Shakespeare, launching today and running through the fall. Spotlighting the work of over a dozen writers, this activation will transform the streetside and outdoor screens at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place, Brooklyn, NY)—Theatre for a New Audience's home in Fort Greene—into a bi-weekly updated anthology of poems inspired by Shakespeare's plays.

We all know the story, the songs and even the names of every character in this beloved Rogers & Hammerstein musical. The Alhambra Theatre & Dining will be opening the show on August 12, running through September 26.

If there’s a musical that has captured the heart of even the most reluctant theatre-goer, it has to be The  Sound of Music.

Vandaag zijn de repetities voor The Sound of Music van start gegaan. Het creatieve team van producent Stage Entertainment, onder leiding van Carline Brouwer (regie) en Stanley Burleson (choreografie), en de cast gaan de komende vijf weken coronaproof repeteren om het verhaal van hoop, kleur en vrolijkheid op 30 juni te kunnen spelen in het AFAS Circustheater in Scheveningen. Vanaf augustus volgt een tournee langs de grote theaters van Nederland.

Francis van Broekhuizen krijgt de rol van moeder-overste in de musical The Sound of Music. Producent Stage Entertainment brengt de musicalklassieker in een nieuwe, energieke en eigentijdse versie die vanaf 16 juni 2021 te zien is in het AFAS Circustheater Scheveningen. Hierna zal de voorstelling doorreizen langs de grote theaters in Nederland. De voorstelling kan – mocht dat in juni nodig zijn – coronaproof met een beperkte zaalbezetting spelen. De kaartverkoop voor The Sound of Music is vandaag gestart.

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

The collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein has created some of the best musicals in musical theatre history, as well as written some of the most iconic go to audition songs

The surviving actors who played the Von Trapp children in the film The Sound of Music are all supporting wearing a mask in a fun way fans of the film will recognize!

Bill Kenwright's production The Sound of Music is currently touring the UK and Ireland - and it's been confirmed that the show will visit Chester during Spring 2020, the only tour dates in the North West.

This evening builds on the success of the sold-out production of South Pacific last year and will be presented by special arrangement with The Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization.

Charleston Light Opera Guild is kicking off 2020 with their highly anticipated production of the classic The Sound of Music, set to debut on January 17th at The Clay Center in the Maier Performance Hall.
