Each year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors rock music's pioneering figures during a prestigious, black-tie ceremony. As the Hall of Fame enters its third decade, it's these extraordinary induction ceremonies -- featuring the biggest names in classic rock from the '60s, '70s and '80s - that have become nearly as epic as the artists they celebrate. On September 6, Time Life and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame give home audiences front row seats to the unforgettable ceremonies from 2010-2017 with the 11-disc collector's set ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME: IN CONCERT.

Park Square Theatre opens its Proscenium Stage Season with the Tony Award-nominated campy rock musical THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW by Richard O'Brien (Sept 27 a?" Nov 2, 2019), directed by Ilana Ransom Toeplitz. a?oeI really want to rock the house and upend the way that people think of Park Square,a?? says Flordelino Lagundino, Park Square's Artistic Director.

The greater Binghamton area's only professional, non-profit Equity theatre, Chenango River Theatre, will open their 2019 season on May 24 with a new play that is currently the most frequently produced play in the country, A Doll's House, Part 2.  Following that production is the World Premiere of a new comedy about an Irish Catholic family in 1973, Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.  The Immigrant, based on the true story of the author's own family who became the only Jewish family in town when they immigrated to Hamilton, Texas in 1909, runs in the late summer slot.  The season finale will be The Sea Horse, an unusual and volatile love story set in a dumpy waterfront bar of the same name. 

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns to the theater's stage from November 28 - December 30, 2018 for a milestone season. During the Company's Ailey Ascending 60th Anniversary celebration, Artistic Director Robert Battle leads Ailey's 32 extraordinary dancers during this five-week holiday engagement that will elevate a legacy of excellence in artistry with premieres by some of today's most revered and prolific choreographers, including world premieres by Rennie Harris and Ronald K. Brown; a company premiere by Wayne McGregor; a new production of by Robert Battle; the return of a recent premiere by Jessica Lang, and special performances of rarely seen works by Alvin Ailey himself.

The Tuesday, June 27th, 7:00pm and 9:30pm concerts will celebrate Nancy Ford's beautiful score and Gretchen Cryer's fascinating and timely book.
