Oscar® winner John Ridley (12 Years A Slave, GUERRILLA) is joining the upcoming SHOWTIME untitled musical drama series as executive producer, writer and director. 15-time Grammy® winner Alicia Keys serves as executive producer along with the Oscar, Tony® and Grammy winning team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman), who will also contribute music. The project centers on an emotionally complex family story that spans generations and threatens the fabric of the community in present day Milwaukee. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2020 season, which opens June 15 with Kander and Ebb's internationally-acclaimed Chicago. Among the talented list are a mix of Muny favorites and newcomers. In addition to casting, a comprehensive list of design teams for each production will be released later this spring. Entering its sixth year, JPWG welcomes five artists - cabaret artist Salty Brine, vocalist and composer Sarah Elizabeth Charles, musician and musical theater composer Jaime Lozano, Indian classical and crossover vocalist Roopa Mahadevan, and singer-songwriter Kirsten Maxwell - into the group, which represents the diversity and scope of the nightly programming at Joe's Pub.

Casting has been announced for Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman's supernatural spectacular, Ghost Stories, which begins it's first ever UK tour at The Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham on 8th January 2020. After exhilarating audiences across the globe with record breaking, sell out productions and a smash hit film, the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre's production of Ghost Stories has this year played yet another successful run at it's original Hammersmith home and at is currently playing at the Ambassadors Theatre in London's West End, until Saturday 4th January. The show heads to Theatre Royal Brighton from Tuesday 11 - Saturday 15 February.

Arendelle will soon welcome new royalty! BroadwayWorld has just learned that Ciara Renée, McKenzie Kurtz and Ryan McCartan will soon join the cast of Broadway's Frozen as Elsa, Anna, and Hans. Madison Lyric Stage, a professional theater company serving the Connecticut Shoreline, has announced its 2020 mainstage season: a double bill of Puccini's Suor Angelica and Schoenberg's Erwartung in April; the landmark Mart Crowley play The Boys in the Band in July; and, for Halloween, the Stephen Sondheim/Hugh Wheeler musical masterpiece Sweeney Todd.
