One month after the close of its 86th season, Jacob's Pillow announces record-breaking ticket sales for its acclaimed summer dance festival. The organization reports over $2.5 million in ticket sales, an increase of 13% when compared with 2017; over 40,000 tickets were sold, an increase of 5%, when compared with last year. The season boasts 10,000 unique ticket buyers, an increase of 8% and the largest number since the organization began tracking this particular indicator in 2005.

Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 47th annual summer season of professional live theatre with the regional premiere of the musical "The Rat Pack Lounge", written by James Hindman and Ray Roderick, with musical arrangements by John Glaudini. Cortland Repertory Theatre invites audiences to "seize the day" with their next high-energy summer production: the hit stage version of Disney's movie musical "Newsies"! For the second production in their 47th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre invites audiences to dust off those leisure suits and platform shoes for the musical stage version of the iconic 1970's Paramount/SRO film Saturday Night Fever. Based on a story by Nik Cohn, the movie was adapted for the stage by Robert Stigwood in collaboration with Bill Oaks, with the North American version written by Sean Cercone and David Abbinati.  The production features the Grammy Award winning songs by the Bee Gees.

The latest production to open at the Stratford Festival, is the Eugene O'Neill classic LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT. Directed by Miles Potter, this emotional and honest production will rip your heart out and leave you thinking about the family it is based on for days. It is an absolute must-see this season at the Festival.

From the moment you set foot in our command bunker (a backup facility for the cabinet war rooms - not unlike Paddock in the real world), it is December 1940 and a Nazi invasion force has landed on the south coast. Britain is in the midst of her very darkest hour. For the audience, the next two-and-a-bit hours are devoted to trying to repel that invasion, whilst simultaneously keeping the country running.

Utah Symphony | Utah Opera President and CEO Paul Meecham and Board Chair Dave Petersen today announced an extension of Thierry Fischer's contract as Utah Symphony Music Director through the 2021-22 season. The agreement extends the current contract, set to expire at the end of the 2018-19 season, for an additional three years. Mr. Fischer was named Music Director in September 2009, and his first full season in this role was the Utah Symphony's 2011-12 season.

Today it is too easy to get down on our frail featherless friends. We are birds of a unique ability to fly. It is easy to dis, but deserves much more that's not to missed from our fellow monkeys who have elevated our canopy to reach closer to our internal gods above and inside. It presents the visually provocative objects that distinguish Moscow Conceptualism from the forms associated with its namesake, the canonical oeuvres of American and British conceptual artists, in particular. This exhibition focuses on more than 40 individual artists and several collectives who lived and worked in Soviet Moscow from the 1960s to the 1990s. They were concerned with the essential task of creating an audience in an environment that lacked galleries, critics, and a viable art market but had its own institutional framework-one that privileged painting (Socialist Realism).
