The girls with big skirts, big voices and big dreams are back with another musical trip down memory lane! Following last year's production of The Marvelous Wonderettes, Geva Theatre Center presents THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES: Caps and Gowns. Written and created by Roger Bean with vocal and musical arrangements by Michael Borth, The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns is directed by Melissa Rain Anderson with musical direction by Don Kot and will be performed in the Fielding Stage from December 7 to December 24.

Theatres have a way of becoming an artist's second home. It doesn't matter if you are a director, designer, actor, or volunteer the countless hours you invest and the close proximity in which you do your work often create friendships that last a lifetime. And each time you step back through those doors you feel like you're coming home. No one knows this to be true more than Joseph Leo Bwarie, whose current home away from home is the Garry Marshall Theatre in Toluca Lake. Bwarie has been connected with the theatre (known formerly as The Falcon) and the Marshall family for many years, and he recently stepped into a co-artistic directorship of the newly-rechristened theatre, along with another longtime Marshall associate, Dimitri Toscas.

Directed by, and starring, Frank Ferrante, with choreography by Michelle Gaudette, this production begins previews on September 5th, opens on September 13th and runs through October 22nd on the Walnut's Mainstage.

TexARTS will present "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" as part of our fully-staged youth summer musical. This is the eighth year TexARTS has offered this summer musical theatre intensive program. Over thirty students rehearse the summer musical during a three-week camp with nationally recognized guest artists. The summer program concludes with two performances opened to the public on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 at 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

American Theater Company (ATC) opens musical comedy Xanadu, the final production of its Legacy Season, this Sunday, June 5. Presented as a tribute to ATC's late Artistic Director PJ Paparelli-a not-so-secret fan of this camp classic-Xanadu is directed by Lili-Anne Brown and runs at ATC now through July 17, 2016. The production has music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar and a book by Douglas Carter Beane, based on the 1980 Universal Pictures film of the same title.

On February 15, 2016 HAMILTON will perform its opening number live at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.
