PRIMARY STAGES (Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Shane D. Hudson, Executive Director; Casey Childs, Founder) is proud to announce its complete 2018/19 Season, which will kick off in Fall 2018 with FINAL FOLLIES, by A.R. Gurney (Love Letters, Sylvia, Black Tie at Primary Stages) and directed by David Saint (Clever Little Lies). DOWNSTAIRS by Theresa Rebeck ("Smash," Dead Accounts, Poor Behavior at Primary Stages), directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (What We're Up Against) in November 2018 will star Tyne Daly (Mother & Sons, Master Class) and Tim Daly ("Wings," "Madam Secretary") sharing the New York stage for the first time. Early 2019 will bring GOD SAID THIS by Leah Nanako Winkler (Two Mile Hollow), directed by Morgan Gould (Kentucky); and the season will conclude in Spring 2019 with LITTLE WOMEN, written by Kate Hamill (Pride and Prejudice), based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, and directed by Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George). Performance schedules, additional casting, and full creative teams will be announced at a later date.

The 2018 Dance-mopolitan Artist Series, produced by DANCE NOW, presents Megan Williams Dance Projects in ONE WOMAN SHOW, a post-postmodern dance theater follies for the small stage. Megan Williams finds the roots of her aesthetic DNA in the proto-feminist female archetypes of 30s, 40s and 50s Hollywood and uses them as a lens to view the experience of the 21st-century woman-of a-certain-age. Part memoir, part spectacle, ONE WOMAN SHOW aims to grab the moment and hold on tight. The work features celebrated dance artists Esme Boyce, Robert Mark Burke, Derek Crescenti, Dylan Crossman, John Eirich, Kristen Foote, Chelsea Hecht, Courtney Lopes, and Megan Williams. With costume design by Barbara Erin Delo and sound design by Sam Crawford.

MNM Productions' Company is the latest venture by theatrical producers and arts consultants Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz. Company is their sixth major musical following A Chorus Line, Side By Side By Sondheim, Hair, The World Goes 'Round and, most recently, Monty Python's Spamalot. MNM Productions' Company will be appearing at the Marshall E. Rinker Playhouse of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts through August 6, 2017.

"The Bridges of Madison County" captured the nation's attention in 1992 as a best-selling novel, then again in 1995 as a major motion picture.  It is a compelling, two-time Tony Award-winning musical now on stage at Peninsula Players through August 13.  "The Bridges of Madison County" is the touching story of Francesca, a lovely Italian woman who married an American soldier to flee war-ravaged Italy. She is looking forward to a rare four days alone on her Iowa farm as her family heads to the 1965 Indiana State Fair when ruggedly handsome, National Geographic photographer Robert Kincaid pulls into her driveway seeking directions. What happens in those next four days may very well alter the course of Francesca's life.

The Hollywood Bowl's production of Mamma Mia! begins tonight, July 28, at 8 PM and continues Saturday, July 29, at 8 PM and Sunday, July 30, at 7:30 PM.

Summer wouldn't be the same in Los Angeles without the Hollywood Bowl's annual offering of a star-studded Broadway musical; and this year will be no different when the mega-hit Mamma Mia! getting ready to ignite on one of the world's most iconic stages July 28 - 30.  BroadwayWorld TV's own Michael Sterling dropped in at rehearsals earlier this week to get a sneak peek at rehearsals and to speak with members of the cast.  Featured in Mamma Mia! are Corbin Bleu as Sky, Dove Cameron as Sophie, Jaime Camil as Sam, Tisha-Campbell-Martin as Tanya, Lea DeLaria as Rosie, Hamish Linklater as Harry, Jennifer Nettles as Donna, and Steven Weber as Bill.

The 71st Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 11th at 8/9c hosted by Kevin Spacey. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. Golden Globe, Critics' Choice, Teen Choice nominee, Imagen Award winner and Broadway actor Jaime Camil, of CW's Jane the Virgin, has been announced for the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Mamma Mia!, the 2001 international phenomenon which will be this summer's annual staged musical at the Bowl. Camil will play the role of Sam Carmichael.

The revival of Hello, Dolly opens tonight on Broadway, starring Bette Midler and featuring a star-studded cast. The Broadway revival of Michael Stewart and Jerry Herman's masterpiece Hello, Dolly! is directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks and choreographed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle. Schimmel Center presents New York Theatre Ballet (NYTB) Uptown/Downtown/Dance at Schimmel Center, 3 Spruce Street, NYC, on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, 2017 at 7:30pm and The Alice-in-Wonderland Follies! on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 3pm.

The Uptown/Downtown/Dance program will include an as-yet-untitled World Premiere from Martin Lawrance and the World Premiere of Painted Within by Zhong-Jing Fang, as well as a restaging of former NYTB resident choreographer Edward Henkel's ReVision, created in 1986, with music by Edvard Grieg, Holberg Suite op. 40 (1884). A 2013 NYTB commission, Short Memory by Pam Tanowitz, is set to live music by Lou Harrison and Henry Cowell and helps set up Ms. Tanowitz's brilliant use of stage space. The evenings include two more pieces by Ms. Tanowtiz: Light Moving, set to music by David Lang, and Double Andante, a 13-minute ballet for ten dancers set to the Andante movement of Beethoven's Sonata in D Major #15, which will be played live on piano two times at different tempos. David Mirvish, Michael Harrison, John Reid and Paul Elliott are delighted to present the Canadian premiere of the new British musical MRS HENDERSON PRESENTS, based on the smash-hit film.  Performances begin Wednesday March 15 through April 23 at Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre.  Media night is Wed March 22, 2017

Titicut Follies: The Ballet, a world premiere ballet choregraphed by James Sewell and inspired byFrederick Wiseman's startling 1967 documentary, will run for three performances, April 28 - 30, 2017 at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.  Titicut Follies: The Ballet will be performed by the James Sewell Ballet, with an original score by Lenny Pickett. A collaboration between Wiseman, Sewell and Pickett, the work is presented in conjunction with The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University.
