3-Legged Dog (Kevin Cunningham, Artistic Director) and The Tank (Rosalind Grush and Rania Jumaily, Co-Artistic Directors) are thrilled to present the compelling THE PAPER HAT GAME, created and directed by Torry Bend, with video designed by Raquel Salvatella de Prada. Part of The Tank's Flint & Tinder, their flagship theater program, and of 3-Legged Dog's Artist Residency Program, THE PAPER HAT GAME begins performances on Wednesday, June 22 for a limited engagement through Sunday, July 17. Press opening is Tuesday, June 28 at 8 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Sunday at 8 PM. (Please note there is no performance on Sunday, July 3.) DanceAfrica Adds Miami to African Festival Network

Miami is the latest city to be added to the nationwide DanceAfrica festival network and join the likes of New York, Washington, DC, and Chicago. As the country's most renowned festival celebrating African dance, music, and culture, DanceAfrica Miami is spearheaded by South Florida-based Delou Africa and will be presented in August in conjunction with the organization's 7th Annual African Diaspora Dance and Drum Festival of Florida (A.D.D.D.F.F). The relaunch is the second for DanceAfrica Miami and was first presented to the South Florida community during the 1990's. (more...)

The Assembly to Host Conversation Series in Conjunction with HOME/SICK

New York City theater collective The Assembly will present a curated conversation series to accompany the West Coast premiere of HOME/SICK, a theatrical re-imagining of the history of the Weather Underground. Select performances of The New York Times 'Critic's Pick' production, which is set for a limited, four-week engagement in a co-production with West L.A.'s Odyssey Theatre from June 11 through July 3, will be followed by discussions with former Weathermen, historians, activists and artists engaged with today's political struggles.
