At long last, Hedwig comes to Diversionary! This iconic musical is an integral part of the LGBT theater canon and truly rocked the musical form when it debuted Off Broadway 20 years ago. It has since been made into a movie, enjoyed productions all over the world, and had its Broadway debut starring Neil Patrick Harris, winning the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Our 20th anniversary production will find a thrilling new aesthetic and a renewed authenticity as we conclude a nationwide casting search for the right gender non-binary performer to fill Hedwig's boots! The LA Phil celebrates its centennial year with LA Fest, a genre-spanning exploration of the sounds of the city that has inspired it for the last 100 years. Across six performances between October 4 to 14, LA Fest will offer a glimpse into Los Angeles' complex musical makeup, featuring orchestral collaborations, led by Gustavo Dudamel, with some of LA's most world-renowned musicians, including Herbie Hancock, Andrew Bird, and Moby; the world premiere of Sustain, a new work by Andrew Norman; additional world premieres of LA Phil-commissioned pieces; performances from LA favorites La Santa Cecilia and Cuco; and more at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Highlighting the LA Phil's commitment to new music, programs will open with performances of LA Phil-commissioned works from past seasons by Esa-Pekka Salonen, Steven Stucky, Gabriela Ortiz, Julia Adolphe, and John Adams.

Pittsburgh CLO's THE FULL MONTY will take it all off at the Benedum Center this summer July 6 - 15. Ghostlight Records celebrates Hal Prince's historic 90th Birthday today with the announcement that the label will release PRINCE OF BROADWAY Original Broadway Cast Recording in physical, digital and streaming formats on Friday, April 20.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of MISS YOU LIKE HELL. With book and lyrics by Quiara Alegr a Hudes and music and lyrics by Erin McKeown, the new musical is directed by Public Theater Resident Director and Founder of Public Works Lear deBessonet, with choreography by Danny Mefford. The musical will begin previews in The Public's Newman Theater on Tuesday, March 20 and run through Sunday, May 6, with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 10.

Northern Stage is pleased to announce its fifth annual New Works Now, a showcase and celebration of new plays to be presented January 19-21 at the Barrette Center for the Arts. Inaugurated in 2014, New Works Now presents rehearsed staged readings of plays new to the American theater. New Works Now 5.0 will include three staged readings, each featuring a post-show conversation with the playwrights, actors, and directors. A fourth off-site 10-minute play will be presented twice at two different area businesses during the festival weekend.
