StoryBook Theatre has announced an exciting lineup of shows for its 45th season!

Taking place 7-8 July, the Engine Room Film Festival will showcase emerging and established filmmakers from the South West, celebrating local talent on the main stage of Salisbury Playhouse.  

StoryBook Theatre is opening the curtains for their 45th Season of productions, called the Season of Hope, with the intention of bringing light to a difficult time in the arts. They will formally announce their new season on June 19th at 7:30 p.m. during the MisPlaced Fundraiser.

On Friday, April 16, 2021, trumpeter and composer Nate Wooley will release Mutual Aid Music. Mutual aid points to the concept of community action and the human drive to provide succor to our fellow humans. Mutual aid is the primary ethic of an anarchistic utopia in which each knows what they have, and is honest about what they need.

Nate Wooley (b.1974) was born in Clatskanie, Oregon and began playing trumpet professionally with his father, a big band saxophonist, at the age of 13.

On Friday, December 11, 2020, GRAMMY-winning new-music choir The Crossing releases its 22nd commercial release, Rising w/ The Crossing, on New Focus Recordings. The album features live concert recordings from The Crossing's archives, chosen by conductor Donald Nally.

A handful of intrepid solo performers are presenting live, outdoor pop up performances of their acclaimed solo shows this Fall. These intimate storytelling events are presented using the LiveTours app and performed for an audience of 14 or less.

Aurora Theatre Company kicks off its 29th season with the original World Premiere Audio Drama THE FLATS, jointly written by playwrights Lauren Gunderson, Cleavon Smith, and Jonathan Spector (Eureka Day). Artistic Director Josh Costello (Exit Strategy, The Importance of Being Earnest, Eureka Day, Detroit) directs this new story that speaks directly to our present moment in all its complexity.

Music Director Elisa Citterio unveiled Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra's 2020/21 season, Passions of the Soul, inviting audiences to experience the range of feelings music can inspire. For her third season, Citterio has curated a selection of music that spans more than four centuries a?" from early baroque to contemporary composers a?" with the ultimate goal of touching the heart of the listener.
