New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced casting for the first show of the 2017/18 NYTW season, MARY JANE, written by NYTW Usual Suspect and Pulitzer Prize Finalist Amy Herzog (4000 Miles, Belleville) and directed by two-time Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman (Sundown, Yellow Moon; A Life).

NYMF is coming to a close but there are still plenty of shows to catch before the annual festival packs up until next summer. Of course, NYMF isn't the only thing summer brings to the city. It's the season for vacations, from school especially. For the kids, it's nirvana, but for parents it can be a test of patience. A Never-Ending Line, a new song cycle composed by Jaime Lozano (The Yellow Brick Road, Children of Salt), will make its New York debut at the Metropolitan Room on July 24th, 2017 followed by a full run Off-Broadway at The Players Theatre in Greenwich Village.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced that the New York premiere play Animal by Clare Lizzimore (Mint) and directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch (Harper Regan, Bluebird) has been extended an additional week through Sunday, July 2 in advance of officially opening next Tuesday, June 6.

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director, Tim Sanford; Managing Director, Leslie Marcus) has announced that the score for their World Premiere production of the musical IOWA has been preserved as an Original Cast Recording, produced by Michael Croiter (Matilda, The Visit, Big Fish) and Todd Almond. IOWA is written by Jenny Schwartz (God's Ear, Somewhere Fun) with music by Todd Almond (Girlfriend) and lyrics by Ms. Schwartz and Mr. Almond.

Tickets are on sale now for the national touring production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. This lavish new production will make its West Palm Beach premiere May 9-14 at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts as part of a North American tour.

The Muny announced today 21 principal cast members for its 99th season. Full company casting will be announced throughout April. The 2017 Muny season opens with Jesus Christ Superstar followed by Disney's The Little Mermaid and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The season continues with the premiere of All Shook Up! and a newly re- envisioned The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Season 99 closes with A Chorus Line and the much- anticipated Muny debut of Newsies.

This spring, Joe's Pub at The Public welcomes a lineup of singer-songwriters that redefine the traditional conventions of the title. A Joe's Pub favorite, Lady Rizo is a cabaret star with songwriter chops, who will debut a new show, Red, White & Indigo, all about her love-hate relationship with America, and tease her forthcoming album Indigo from March 23-25.

Partly by choice, and partly because of the evolving landscapes of theatre and television, Kudisch has consciously made on-screen roles more a part of his plan in recent years, in fact, he begins an explosive Season 2 arc on Showtime's BILLIONS tonight as the new Axe Capital corporate therapist, Dr. Gus. BILLIONS airs on Sundays at 10p/9c.

The Bush Theatre will reopen after a year-long £4.3m redevelopment, the largest capital project in the theatre's history, with a bold new season kicked off by the European Premiere of Guards at the Taj by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph, directed by Jamie Lloyd (from 7 April). A brand new Studio space opens with the premiere of Barney Norris play While We're Here directed by Alice Hamilton (from 26 April).
