The American Film Institute (AFI) today announced that Julia Roberts will present the nation's highest honor for a career in film, the AFI Life Achievement Award, to her longtime friend and colleague George Clooney at the 46th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute honoring the actor, director, writer and producer. Hulu and VICE Media announced their first-ever content licensing agreement. The new pact — VICELAND's first SVOD partnership — will increase Hulu's library of unscripted programming with 15 critically acclaimed series from VICELAND, including all past episodes of the Emmy Award-nominated Gaycation and Woman, as well as popular shows such as F*ck, That's Delicious.  These and other VICELAND series will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu beginning June 8th, significantly expanding the reach of the new channel's award-winning content library.

Then, after a multi-platform initiative throughout the summer, which will include live public events, social media components and national reading clubs, the series will resume in the fall with several themed episodes, including an exciting finale, culminating in the first-ever national vote to choose 'America's Best-Loved Novel.' It will be the most expansive national celebration of books and reading aimed at engaging multi-generational readers across multiple platforms ever created.

Two-time Tony Award Winner Norbert Leo Butz is about to take the stage again this year in the Broadway Revival of My Fair Lady as Alfred P. Rehearsals begin today for The 5th Avenue Theatre's new production of Mamma Mia!, the celebrated musical that features the music of global pop sensation ABBA. Is it time for a re-evaluation of Massenet's place in the current repertoire and put it up a notch? With the right performers, there's a good case for his juicy, melodic writing--among the plethora of BOHEMES, TURANDOTS and BUTTERYFLYs on the season's schedule--although the stipulation of right performers is, as always, the catch.
