To celebrate its 30th anniversary season, The Heart of  America Shakespeare Festival will once again produce a live performance this summer.  

The concert features mezzo-soprano Lucia Bradford, soprano Kearstin Piper Brown, and baritone Jorell Williams, together with pianists Nathaniel LaNasa and Steven Blier, in works by Black composers that include H. Gounod's masterpiece of grand French opera, Roméo et Juliette, continues San Diego Opera's 2021-2022 season when it opens on Saturday, March, 26, 2022 for four performances at the San Diego Civic Theatre. Additional performances are March 29, April 1, and 3 (matinee), 2022.

Hampstead Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of Florian Zeller's new play, The Forest. Running from 5 February until 12 March 2022, The Forest is translated by Zeller's long-time collaborator Christopher Hampton, and directed by Jonathan Kent, who re-unites with Zeller after his critically acclaimed production of The Height of the Storm.

Karen Kain, Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, and Executive Director Barry Hughson today announced that Alexei Ratmansky's new full-length work, Of Love and Rage, will be a co-production between the National Ballet and American Ballet Theatre (ABT). The world premiere will be performed by ABT at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California, March 5 - 8, 2020. ABT will reprise the work at New York's Metropolitan Opera House June 2 - 6, 2020. Of Love and Rage will make its Canadian premiere during the National Ballet's 2021/22 season in Toronto.
