Excerpts from Yunus Emre (1946), an oratorio composed by Ahmed Adnan Saygun, the most important Turkish classical music composer of the twentieth century, will be performed at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall at 8 PM tonight, October 17, 2015 as part of MidAtlantic Opera and Seton Hall University's co-production entitled A Prayer for Peace. This rarely-heard piece will be sung in Turkish by the 100-voice Seton Hall University choir.

San Jose Stage Company launches its 33rd Season with the California Premiere of RFK, a high-stakes political drama by Jack Holmes in what the New York Magazine says is "… measured and intelligent, optimistic yet clear-eyed"  and Stage Magazine proclaims is "…a work of keen insight and humanity."  Directed by Randall King, The Stage's Artistic Director, this riveting historical drama stars David Arrow, an Associate Artist at The Stage, as RFK  whose words, struggles and ideals come to life in this tour de force of the late politician and passionate advocate for civil rights, poverty, and discrimination.

The iconic folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary made music together for nearly 50 years, arriving on the scene with a 1962 self-titled album and its hit 'If I Had a Hammer.' Mary Travers died in 2009, but Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey continue to tour as a duo, continuing the band's tradition of uplifting audiences with messages of peace and social justice.

Now, over 40 years later, Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 1960-1971 surveys the decisive decade that led up to that unauthorized exhibition at MoMA, bringing together approximately 125 of her early objects, works on paper, installations, performances, audio recordings, and films, alongside rarely seen archival materials. On view from May 17 to September 7, 2015, this is the first exhibition at MoMA dedicated exclusively to the artist's work.
