Accurately reviewing Bianca del Rio's It's Jester Joke tour is perhaps one of the most challenging reports I've ever had to write. That's because so much of what I witnessed was quite frankly, and delightfully, unrepeatable.

Visually this show is spectacular thanks to super talented costume designers Helen Chessum. My particular favourites were Potiphar's scene with it's truly striking black and white theme and all the Pharoah scenes where the attention to detail ensured the wow factor- collars, wigs, sparkly shoes and even a fully bedazzled Elvis cape. Marty Wilson's attention to detail in his hair and make-up design was highlighted for me by the blue stripes in Pharoah's hair which matched his Egyptian eyeshadow.

Cardiff based aggro-Glam band TELGATE, unleash their stunning debut single 'Cherrytight' this November, a debut statement about the Aids crisis in the 1980s from a band that are starting to stand out in the Welsh music scene. Produced by Tom Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard) during the blistering summer of 2019 'Cherrytight' lights the touch paper with thudding baselines, bombastic drums, caustic gyrating guitars and vocals that drip with attitude and sexuality. The track explodes into an insatiable chorus that wraps itself around your heart and won't let go. Comparisons to the throbbing roar of early Hole, and the rawness of L7 with an outstanding, storming outro.

Writers Peter McGann & John Morton have let loose The Roaring Banshees, part two of their Ripping Yarn Trilogy. The trilogy celebrates the centenary years of Ireland's independence. Part one: The Hellfire Squad successfully premiered in 2016 and told the tale of Micheal Collins' assassins. They are currently working on their final installment, The Folklore Commission. The Roaring Banshees are a fictionalised branch of Cumann na mBan, an Irish republican women's paramilitary organisation active during the Irish War of Independence and Civil War. Outlawed by the Irish Free State and sorely betrayed by both the Irish and English factions, the clan of 7 cross the pond and set up shop in Chicago.
