Sam Mendes directs a transatlantic company of actors in a double-bill of classic works for The Bridge Project's inaugural 2009 season, which pairs a new version of The Cherry Orchard by Tom Stoppard with The Winter's Tale. A formidable transatlantic company and creative team will mount these two new productions for seven internationally renowned theaters. Simon Russell Beale leads the British/American cast, playing Lopakhin in The Cherry Orchard and Leontes in The Winter's Tale. He is joined by Sin?ad Cusack as Madame Ranevskaya and Paulina, Richard Easton as Firs and Old Shepherd, Rebecca Hall as Varya and Hermione, Josh Hamilton as Yasha and Polixenes, Ethan Hawke as Trofimov and Autolycus, and Paul Jesson as Gaev and Camilo.

Second Stage Uptown Announces Cast for Animals Out of Paper

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) will continue this summer's Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series with the world premiere of Rajiv Joseph's Animals Out of Paper, directed by Giovanna Sardelli. Beginning previews Monday, July 14 at Second Stage Theatre's uptown home, the McGinn/Cazale Theatre on Broadway at 76th Street, Animals Out of Paper will feature Utkarsh Ambudkar, Kellie Overbey, and Jeremy Shamos.

Young Frankenstein Announces Cast; To Open at Hilton November 8

The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, a new musical comedy from the creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash The Producers, will open on Broadway November 8th 2007 at the Hilton Theatre (213 W 42nd St). Previews begin October 11th 2007. The production stars Roger Bart (Dr. Frederick Frankenstein), Megan Mullally (Elizabeth), Sutton Foster (Inga), Shuler Hensley (The Monster), Fred Applegate (Kemp) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Igor).
