DOG RUN REP announces, as part of the South Street Seaport Winter Theatre Season, a new American adaption of Moliere's classic comedy TARTUFFE, directed by Jeff Cohen. TARTUFFE will play a four-week limited engagement @Seaport (210 Front Street), presented, in part, through the generous support of General Growth Properties.

On March 7th go down to the Courthouse Center For The Arts from 12 to 10pm for the 2nd Annual Celtic Festival. Join them for live music, step dancing by the Damhsa and Meghan Kelly Dance studios, bagpipers, one act plays, and comedians. There will also be an Irish Soda Bread contest; the winner will receive 4 tickets to the Rhode Island premiere of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Patrick?s Pub will be selling corned beef sandwiches, vendors will be selling traditional Celtic wares, and beer will be provided by Narragansett Beer. At 9pm they will be holding an open session for anyone who would like to participate bring your fiddle, guitar, voice, and have a jam session with fellow musicians.

The Marvelous Wonderettes celebrates its 200th performance at the Westside Theatre on Saturday, March 7 (8:00 PM show). The non-stop pop musical comedy written and directed by Roger Bean began previews on August 29, 2008 and had its Official Opening on September 14.

The Marvelous Wonderettes has announced that Misty Cotton, who played the role of Missy back in the Laguna Playhouse production of the show will join the show Off-Broadway (replacing Farah Alvin) on March 6.

As The Marvelous Wonderettes continues its dream run at the Westside Theatre, Misty Cotton joins the production as 'Missy' on Friday, March 6. She joins fellow cast mates Beth Malone, Bets Malone and Victoria Matlock in this non-stop pop musical comedy written and directed by Roger Bean. The Marvelous Wonderettes began previews on August 29, 2008 and the show celebrated its Official Opening on September 14. Farah Alvin, who originated the role of 'Missy' Off-Broadway, plays her final performance on Sunday, March 1.

Huntington Theatre Company Artistic Director Peter DuBois makes his Boston directorial debut with the world premiere of David Grimm's outrageous comedy, 'The Miracle at Naples.' Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner Dick Latessa ('Hairspray') returns to the Huntington to play Don Bertolino Fortunato, the leader of a troupe of commedia players who are down on their luck. The 6th Annual Moisture Festival kicks off March 11, 2009 at ACT with 10 shows in the Falls Theatre. This year, as a part of The Central Heating Lab at ACT, the festival plans to dazzle and delight even more people, of all ages, with five Grand Variet? shows (family friendly) and five Burlesque shows (18 years and over). Hump Night of the Iguana is a new comedy variety show. Yes, there will be hi-jinks aplenty every Wednesday night from 8-11pm. starting March 4th at the Iguana VIP Lounge (upstairs) 240 West 54th Street & Broadway NYC. There will be 3-4 featured performers each night as well as drop in guest artists. Wanda Sykes, Emmy winning entertainer and one of the country's premiere comedians, is coming to the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway on March 19th. Wanda Sykes has been called one of the funniest stand up comics by her peers and ranks among Entertainment Weekly's 25 Funniest People in America. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced today that their board of governors have voted to give Jerry Lewis the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. Lewis is to be presented with the special Oscar statuette on February 22, 2009 during the 81st Annual Academy Awards.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Raul Esparza has booked an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent that starts shooting next week, the magazine's web site notes that 'He'll play a shady district attorney in a Goren-centric episode.' No air date has been set for the episode.
