“Forbidden Broadway” the musical parody performs on the actual indoor stage (not the Butterfield Stage) at Starlight Theatre in Swope Park in front of an audience of about 500 wildly amused patrons.    “Forbidden Broadway” is a thorough skewering of all those Broadway shows you’ve either seen or hoped to see.  Broadway sees its own reflection in a funhouse mirror and has a big belly laugh at its own expense.

Telex are getting set to release a box set collating the long-awaited remastered reissues of their 6 studio albums, Looking for Saint-Tropez (1979), Neurovision (1980), Sex (1981), Wonderful World (1984), Looney Tunes (1988) and How Do You Dance? (2006). Remastered and newly mixed from the original tapes by Dan Lacksman and Michel Moer.

I grew up in a musical family. My grandmother was my piano teacher and she actually lived with us pretty much my whole life until I moved to Nashville. I remember going to Davidson's Record Shop in Huntington, West Virginia and getting the the single to Let It Be and I Want to Hold Your Hand by the Beatles.

The EP includes “Pakmoväst” from their debut, “Tour De France” (this track pre-dates Kraftwerk’s by 3 years), the single “Haven’t We Met Somewhere Before” (a songwriting collaboration with Ron & Russell Mael aka Sparks), “Temporary Chicken” (from the aptly titled album Looney Tunes) and their take on Canned Heat’s ’68 classic “On The Road Again”.
