The Rochester Broadway Theatre League begins its 2022-2023 M&T Bank Broadway season with something fun and splashy, a perfect date night musical based on one of the 1980s' most beloved pop culture gems. 'Tootsie', the Robert Horn and David Yazbek musical adaption of the 1982 Dustin Hoffman film of the same name, is a light and springy show about showbiz, which also attempts to grapple with the difficulties of being a woman in a man's world. Rochester is the first stop on Tootsie's national tour.

Last night, comedian Bill Maher received the Key to the Las Vegas Strip. Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom presented him with the key following his show at the Terry Fator Theater at The Mirage Hotel and Casino. Bill first performed in Las Vegas, opening for Diana Ross, in 1982 and has had a residency in the city for over a decade.
The Actors' Gang Theater announces a new Axis Mundi evening as part of its digital season: Axis Mundi – In Conversation with Tim Robbins and theatrical legend and visionary director, Peter Brook. Just eighteen hours after the end of the UK’s current lockdown, Bill Kenwright presented MARTIN SHAW and JENNY SEAGROVE in A.R. GURNEY’s Love Letters, directed by ROY MARSDEN, at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. The play opened on 3 December 2020, the first day after the Prime Minister decreed that lockdown would end.
