The indie kids band Billy Kelly and The Blahblahblahs will perform at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, October 21 at 2:00 pm. The show features sing-a-longs, dance-a-longs, guessing games, comedy, and a touch of story telling, with music ranging from rock and country to ragtime and ska. Kelly's catchy songs are backed by oversized props, dancing characters and his sock puppet manager Digby. (more...)

Songwriter Tori Amos and playwright Samuel Adamson teamed up with director Marianne Elliot to bring a new musical to the stage. After five years, The Light Princess has come to the National Theatre. The musical opened last night, Oct 9, starring Rosalie Craig as Princess Athea. The Light Princess also stars Amy Booth-Steel as Piper, Nick Hendrix as Prince Digby, David Langham as Flowers, Hal Fowler as King Ignacio, Ben Thompson as Zephyrus, and Kane Oliver Parry as Llewelyn. Tori Amos' THE LIGHT PRINCESS Musical Coming to Broadway? Cast Album in the Works for 2015

Tori Amos' new musical, The Light Princess, which concluded its run at The National Theatre last year, might be heading to Broadway, according to a recent interview with the muic legend. Amos revealed to Radio.com that she is currently working on the cast recording to the show, and that a Broadway run is 'the dream.' She told Radio.com: 'Of course, I have all the demos. They got orchestrated with meplaying all the parts, which was a bit freaky. But I really enjoyed playing the male roles. That was my favorite part: being the guys. But I really feel like you need to hear The Light Princess as a story, the characters coming alive, not my quirky versions. Once you know it, then you can hear the quirky Tori stuff.' (more...)

Transylvania mania is about to take over the Ogunquit Playhouse when Mel Brooks' hysterical musical comedy Young Frankenstein hits the stage July 10 through July 27. The Ogunquit Playhouse is recreating the Broadway musical, complete with Tony-nominated sets by Robin Wagner and the original Broadway costumes by multi-Tony Award winner, William Ivey Long.
