Today's subject Sarna Lapine is currently living her theatre life at the directing helm of Signature Theatre's upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim's gothic musical masterpiece Sweeney Todd. The production begins performances on May 16th and will play through July 9th in Signature Theatre's MAX space. It is the fourth time Signature has produced the show, making it Signature Theatre's most produced Sondheim musical overtaking Assassins and Into The Woods with three productions each.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) and Steven Maler, Artistic Director, announce the complete cast and creative team for this summer's production of Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth on the Boston Common.

Stage and screen actor Ned Eisenberg has passed away at the age of 65.

P3 Theatre to present My (Unauthorized) Hallmark Movie Musical, an innovative live one-woman show, written and performed by Eloise Coopersmith who is supported by a cast of eight characters in her imagination via multimedia.  Audiences will escape into her Hallmark movie fantasy, where men and women find courage and acceptance to speak their own voices without judgment.  T

For 20 years, Orfeh and Andy Karl have been making beautiful music together. But no need to take my word for it. You can check it out for yourself this week when they return to Feinstein’s 54 Below with their show LEGALLY BOUND. It is an encore presentation of the show they did in 2017 that’s been rethought for the post-lockdown world. The title is, of course, a play on words referring to Legally Blonde, one of several Broadway shows Andy and Orfeh have co-starred in.
