The dynamic duo of Sophie Zucker and Ian Lockwood (writers and stars of Baby Ian Fall Down a Well, Annoyance Theatre NY, Peoples Improv Theater), take the stage at the Brick Theater as Fag & Hag in Fag & Hag Pull Out All the Stops, performing Saturday March 31, 2018, at 9:30pm. A performance at the new Brooklyn Comedy Collective, a comedy theater in residency at the Brick in Williamsburg, Lockwood will play Fag and Zucker will play Hag in an over-prepared 1930's revue featuring a gay man and his funny, sad friend!

This production of CHICAGO is enjoyable. I was expecting more of an energetic 'umph' from the leads. Without that, I felt the show's energy lacked cohesion from the beginning. It's opening weekend. If they can find that spark, this show will be one hot CHICAGO.

The Centenary Stage Company opens their exciting theatre season with 'The Learned Ladies' now through October 22nd. Moliere's classic comedy has never looked so good. MNM Productions' Company is the latest venture by theatrical producers and arts consultants Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz. Company is their sixth major musical following A Chorus Line, Side By Side By Sondheim, Hair, The World Goes 'Round and, most recently, Monty Python's Spamalot. MNM Productions' Company will be appearing at the Marshall E. Rinker Playhouse of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts through August 6, 2017.

Following successful tours of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot in 2015, London Classic Theatre return to the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, with their new production of Harold Pinter's THE BIRTHDAY PARTY from Tues 14 to Sat 18 June. It's directed by Michael Cabot, with design by Bek Palmer and lighting by Andy Grange.

EMPIRE THE MUSICAL has been knocking around in the wings ever since Caroline Sherman and Robert Hull began writing it in 1999. Its first fully-staged production took place at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood in 2003 and it has had periodic readings through the years in both Los Angeles and New York. Now the story of how the Empire State Building came to be is enjoying a lavish pre-Broadway run at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, produced in partnership with McCoy Rigby Entertainment, Sue Vaccaro, Ricky Stevens and The Rivet Gang.

Cabot directs a cast including Jonathan Ashley (Goldberg), Gareth Bennett-Ryan (Stanley), Cheryl Kennedy (Meg), Ged McKenna (Petey), Declan Rodgers (McCann) and Imogen Wilde (Lulu). The production tours to 37 venues around the UK this spring/summer, starting at Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham on 17 February.
