It's that time of year, and I can't help but wonder if your CD collection and iPod are Tonys ready. It's just a handful of hours until the 70th annual Tony Awards, and New York City and theatre fans across the world are excitedly buzzing about this year's ceremonies which will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 8/7c on CBS. This Broadway season has some exciting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at least pre-ordering).

?Terry Martin, WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director, today announced details of the Company's 2016-2017 20th Anniversary Main Stage Season.  The 5-show subscription season, planned by Martin, includes four Regional Premieres. Highlights of the season include a Stephen Sondheim classic, a musical tribute to American music legend Johnny Cash, two plays by leading female playwrights Lauren Gunderson and Karen Zacarias, plus a holiday extra.

The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, begins its 45th season at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) on Friday, June 5, with the Alfred HITCHCOCK classic, Notorious (1946) starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. Hitchcock's censor-skirting action adventure will have four showings over the weekend to kick off the nine-week Series.

Cast Set for 64th Wexford Festival Opera

Artistic Director David Agler today announced the cast for the main evening operas in the forthcoming Wexford Festival, opening Wednesday, 21 October. A mixture of new and familiar voices makes up the 64-member company, comprising 20 principal roles, 32 chorus-members and 10 dancers. They hail from several different countries, including Ireland, Britain, South Africa, Canada, US, France, Italy, Australia and Malta. When including the creative teams, production team, orchestra and crew, the full company of this year's Festival is likely to be in excess of 200.

Midway through its first season producing on two stages, Park Square Theatre shows no sign of slowing down with its 2015-2016 theatre season.
