The holiday season kicks-off at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay on Sunday, December 8 with the lighting of a 25-foot fir tree on The Gazebo Lawn. On Sunday, 2014 Tony nominees Brian J. Smith (The Glass Menagerie) and Adriane Lenox (After Midnight), as well as American-Idol alum and one of After Midnight's Special Guest Stars Fantasia Barrino visited QUEEN OF THE NIGHT. Queen of the Night recently was extended to run through August 31st. Fantasia even had a moment with The Marchesa herself (played by Martha Graham principle ballet dancer Katherine Crockett)!

Last week, the audience received a special surprise at Off-Broadway's comedy smash, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER. At the point in the show where an unsuspecting audience member is brought up on stage for a brief tutorial on how to be a true New Yorker, the show's stars snared Tabitha Hernandez from the Bronx who was sitting in the front row. Before long, Tabitha's boyfriend Ruben Pacheco also jumped up to the stage, dropped to one knee and popped the question. He presented the ring, Tabitha happily accepted through her tears, and the entire audience roared with approval. Check out a video of the proposal below!

She is set to be married three weeks later. As previously reported on Broadway World, Margaret's engagement to Colin Hunter, CEO of Alton Lane Custom Clothing, was announced on stage by her co-star Kevin James Doyle after the April 11th performance. Olivia Petzy will assume Margaret's role(s) on August 8th.

Friday night, April 11th, Kevin James Doyle surprised his co-star Margaret Copeland by announced her impending engagement before the sold-out audience at Off-Broadway's comedy smash, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER. During the curtain call, Kevin hushed the crowd (which included former New York Governor George Pataki!) and revealed Margaret's recent engagement to Colin Hunter, CEO of Alton Lane Custom Clothing. Although Margaret had only shared the big news with her immediate family at this point, she rolled with the punches like a true New Yorker and brought Colin on stage to ecstatic cheers from the audience and a standing ovation.
