Broadway Publicity Firm THE HARTMAN GROUP to Shut Down January 2014

After beginning his career in 1993, longtime theatrical press agent MICHAEL HARTMAN, founder and CEO of one of the largest and most successful theatrical publicity firms in New York, will say goodbye to Broadway and close THE HARTMAN GROUP on Sunday, January 5, 2014, remaining fully operational until then.

Paper Mill Playhouse will continue its 75th Anniversary Season with the classic Charles Dickens musical Oliver!, with a holiday 'twist' for the entire family. With a book, music and lyrics by Lionel Bart, Oliver! will be directed by Paper Mill Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee with original choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter. Oliver! will feature David Garrison (Fagin), best known for his role as Steve Rhoades on the hit television series Married...with Children, Betsy Morgan (Nancy), John Treacy Egan (Mr. Bumble), Jose Llana (Bill Sikes), David Hess (MR. Brownlow), Ethan Haberfield (Artful Dodger) and introducing Tyler Moran as Oliver. Oliver! will also feature 16 local boys from across the state of New Jersey who auditioned from a pool of over 200. Oliver! will play the Millburn, New Jersey theater from tonight, November 21 through December 29. The official press opening night is Sunday, December 1, 2013, at 7:00pm.

The Bay Area's hottest holiday ticket gets a 20th Anniversary Season kick with XXmas: The Christmas Ballet, 2013 Edition, making its sassy return with a perfect gift for audience members of all ages. The Art House in Provincetown will be in high gear again next month for Women's Week. Comedian Judy Gold returns by popular demand October 16 - 19. She is a Drama Desk and GLAAD Award winner for 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, and host of TV's Mom's Night Out, Tru TV Presents World's Dumbest, has been a guest host of ABC's The View and frequent guest on The Joy Behar show. Joining her on the bill is another P-Town favorite, Folk-rocker Melissa Ferrick who returns October 17 - 19 at 7pm. She is a 6-time Boston Music and GLAMA winner and has shared stages with Bob Dylan, Weezer and Ani DiFranco. And - returning for the first time since 2011, is BETTY, from October 17 - 19. This cult-favorite all-female New York pop-rock band led by Alyson Palmer and sisters Elizabeth and Amy Ziff wrote and performed the theme song for Showtime TV's The L Word, and have been heard extensively on radio, TV, film, commercials and political rallies.
