THE OUTGOING TIDE's Author Bruce Graham to Attend Chenango River Theatre's Production, 10/4

Bruce Graham, author of The Outgoing Tide playing through Oct. 13 at Chenango River Theatre, will be coming in to see the production on Friday, Oct. 4. He will stay after the show to participate in the theatre's traditional second Friday "TalkBack". The TalkBack is an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the director, cast and in this case, the author, about the play.

Red Branch Theatre Company's Executive Producer Stephanie Williams and Managing Director Tiffany Underwood Holmes unveiled the titles for the 2014 season this past weekend at the company's opening of Tick, tick... BOOM! Starting the season off with a bang on St. Patrick's Day (March 17, 2014), renowned American musical theatre composer Jason Robert Brown will present a benefit cabaret entitled 'I Could Be In Love With Someone Like You.' Howard County restaurant Iron Bridge Wine Company will cater the affair with Irish-themed favorites. All proceeds will benefit Red Branch Theatre Company's 2014 operating budget. This promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime event given the opportunity to see this prominent composer in a rare concert appearance in the theatre's intimate space.

Road to Palooza: A Variety Show Spectacular will also be a Mainstage event for five performances featuring a number of the amazing acts playing the festival and rotating special guest performers. The Carrie Hamilton Theatre will host an eclectic variety of specialty acts over the three-week period. The CIRQUE-A-PALOOZA festival will launch today, July 19 and perform through August 11, 2013.

Akvavit Theatre presents two Chicago and one United States premieres of the work of Europe's most-produced living playwright, Norway's Jon Fosse, under the unified title of Gjenganger, February 28 - March 24, 2013 at the DCASE Storefront Theater, 66 East Randolph St. The "short full-length" plays, presented in rotation (two per night and all three Sundays) are: Winter, directed by Paul S. Holmquist, Autumn Dream, directed by Breahan Eve Pautsch,* and A Summer's Day, directed by Wm. Bullion.* Original musical arrangements for the three plays are by Dag Juhlin of Poi Dog Pondering. The performance schedule for Gjenganger is Thursdays (A Summer's Day/Winter), Fridays (Winter/Autumn Dream) and Saturdays (Autumn Dream/A Summer's Day) at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays (all three plays) at 3 p.m. ("Gjenganger" is the Norwegian word for "those who walk again.")
