NEW YORK, Aug. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ The Moulin Rouge (http://moulinrouge.fr) has officially confirmed their landmark voyage to the United States, as a part of this year's BEST OF FRANCE celebration in Times Square, taking place on September 26, 2015 from 10:00am to 8:00pm and September 27, 2015 from 10:00am-7:00pm. Organized by the New York French Community in partnership with many prominent organizations, this is the third edition of BEST OF FRANCE (http://www.bestoffrance.org/), formerly known as Taste of France. The celebration is expected to have thousands of visitors over the course of the weekend, and attendees will enjoy free entrance to walk the festival grounds and see abridged Moulin Rouge performances and fashion shows.

Following this afternoon's earlier report, Cameron Mackintosh has officially announced today that his acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schönberg's legendary musical MISS SAIGON – a smash hit in London since its premiere there in May, 2014 - will open on Broadway in the spring of 2017 at a Shubert theater to be announced.  The Broadway return of MISS SAIGON will feature its acclaimed London stars, Filipino-born and L.A resident Jon Jon Briones as The Engineer and 19 year-old North Carolina native Eva Noblezada as Kim, who was discovered by the MISS SAIGON casting team at the National High School Musical Awards two years ago in New York.   First performance and opening night dates will be announced at a later date.

In association with its mission to present new voices from inadequately represented communities, Halcyon Theatre will host a one-night-only post-show discussion immediately following the 8p.m. performance of Estrella Cruz [the junkyard queen] Friday, February 19. The panel will address social issues facing young Latina women as reflected in Estrella Cruz, including young motherhood. The expert panel features Maureen Mena, Association of Latino Professionals for America board member; Tamika Lecheé Morales, Halcyon Theatre company member (and Estrella Cruzcast member); and Yesenia Villaseñor, Assistant General Counsel at Exelon Corporation. This talk is open to all theatre patrons.
