The new Broadway musical THE ADDAMS FAMILY, based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, will begin a national tour in September, 2011 at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in New Orleans, LA. A complete tour schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

Borders Columbus Circle presents 'THE ADDAMS FAMILY: From Page to Stage' May 14. Appearing at this event will be book writers Rick Elice and Marshall Brickman, composer-lyricist Andrew Lippa and select cast members. Joining the creative team will be Sarah Henry. Henry is the curator of the Charles Addams Exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York.

Two-time Tony and Emmy award-winning actor, Nathan Lane, is giving his fans the opportunity to meet him after attending a performance of The Addams Family.

The cast of THE ADDAMS FAMILY is set to head into the studio on April 19th to record the show's previously announced cast recording produced by Decca Broadway. The cast recording is set to be released this June.

Last week on April 8, 2010, Actor's Equity's 2nd Vice President Rebecca Kim Jordan hosted the famed Gypsy Robe Ceremony for company members of THE ADDAMS FAMILY at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. A long-standing opening night tradition on the Great White Way, the fabled Gypsy Robe is bestowed upon a veteran Broadway chorus member for each opening production. In what has now become a theatrical ritual, originating on Broadway 60 years ago, COME FLY AWAY chorus member Kristine Bendul turned over the robe to ADDAMS FAMILY cast member Jim Borstelmann. On April 2, THE ADDAMS FAMILY star Nathan Lane appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to talk about all things ADDAMS.
