Live Arts Pride 2019: THE HOUSE PARTY - 50 FOR 50 is New York Live Arts' 2nd annual Pride celebration; a building wide and sidewalk multi-genre event in the historic "gayborhood" of Chelsea, just blocks from the Pride March. The epic 6-hour celebration honors the historical importance and unwavering power of collectives in LGBTQAI culture and pays tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. Both legendary and young families from NYC's queer nightlife and art scene come together under one roof to serve up the city's most colorful and fierce performance, music, queer marketplace, installations and more for a multi-space, nonstop celebration for the ages.

A&E is extending the new hit series 'Live Rescue,' with 10 additional episodes, bringing the first season total to 19 episodes. 'Live Rescue,' the network's newest live original documentary series, follows first responders from across the country as they bravely put their lives on the line responding to emergency rescue calls.

Music icon Lil' Kim and her star-studded group of friends embark on a glamorous vacation of a lifetime in VH1's 'Girls Cruise,' premiering Monday, July 15th at 9PM ET/PT. Executive producer Lil' Kim is joined by international superstars Mýa and Chilli, comedy's new 'it girls' Pretty Vee and B. Goodman Theatre announces a line-up of free readings written by members of its Playwrights Unit-a year-long residency for Chicago-based writers to develop their plays-in-progress with the Goodman's artistic team, in partnership with Chicago Dramatists. The June 2019 So-fi festival announces that it will be presenting works at The Clemente's Los Kabayitos and Flamboyan Theaters (107 Suffolk St. between Rivington & Delancey) and Westbeth (463 West Street between Bethune and West 12th St) June 6th-23rd 2019.

Each year, Phantom Projects Theatre Group provides donates $20,000 in theatre tickets and performances to non-profits, schools, and youth groups. In addition nearly $60,000 in tickets are underwritten allowing groups to be bussed in to field trip performances at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. The ability to do this every year, is due to the annual event: The Phantom Cabaret: A Benefit Gala for Arts Education, taking place on May 4 at the La Mirada Country Club. Through an evening of entertainment, dinner, silent auction and more, the event pays tribute to the non-profit organization's work with at-risk youth through the performing arts.

Venetia Stifler, executive and artistic director of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, on behalf of the 2019 Ruth Page Award Committee, awarded the 2019 Ruth Page Awards to Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and its Artistic Director Robert Battle and Chicago Dance History Project and its Artistic and Executive Director Jenai Cutcher. The special event took place Friday, March 8 before the sold-out performance of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater celebrating its 60th anniversary as a company and the 50th anniversary of performing at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Ida B. Wells Dr. 

The Philly POPS and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will present the School District of Philadelphia's All-City Jazz Festival. The day of free jazz performances by student and professional musicians will be held in the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater and Commonwealth Plaza on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from noon 9 p.m. This will be the POPS's fifth year presenting this event and the third year in partnership with the Kimmel Center.

At 14, LeAnn, won 'Best New Artist," the youngest recipient ever to win a Grammy Award.

National New Play Network, an alliance of professional theaters that collaborate in innovating ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, is pleased to co-present the 13th annual MFA Playwright's Workshop (MFAPW) in association with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and Stanford University's National Center for New Plays. The Kennedy Center will host more than 60 theater-makers from July 28-August 5, 2018 as part of the 13th annual week-long MFA Playwrights' Workshop featuring new works by graduate students or recent MFA graduates from Iowa Playwrights' Workshop, Northwestern University, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of California, San Diego.

Madison Square Park Conservancy announces its thirty-sixth exhibition, Delirious Matter by artist Diana Al-Hadid. Six new sculptures are installed across Madison Square Park's central Oval Lawn, peripheral lawns, and northern reflecting pool. Delirious Matter is the artist's first major public art project. It's on view from May 14, 2018- September 3, 2018.

The Artistic Home Ensemble will present the Chicago premiere of Lauren Gunderson's ADA AND THE ENGINE as the final entry in its three-play 2018-19 season, according to company Artistic Director Kathy Scambiatterra, who announced the season today. The 36-year-old Gunderson was the most-produced playwright in America during 2017, according to American Theatre Magazine.

Since 2004, director Mallory Catlett has worked across disciplines to expand the boundaries of theater. Through original works with her own company, Restless NYC, and collaborations with some of today's leading artists-composer Mika Karlsson (The Echo Drift), Dread Scott (Decision), Aaron Landsman (City Council Meeting & Perfect City)-Catlett creates theater that The New York Times calls "lurid, feverish and powerful." She has been called a "downtown treasure" by Time Out New York.

The Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas (LMDA) is pleased to announce the 2018 recipients of Bly Fellowships and Grants. 'In the fourth year of this boundary-expanding grant program, applicants proposed nearly $250,000 in dramaturgical projects. I remain deeply inspired by the range of exciting proposals received from across Canada, the United States, and Central America,' said LMDA President Ken Cerniglia.

Broadway Dance Lab (BDL), a non-profit choreography incubator supporting new works of dance-driven theatre, has announced that former New York City Ballet principal dancer, and Tony Award nominee, Robert Fairchild, will join Loni Landon and Ray Mercer as guest choreographers for the company's Spring 2018 Cycle. The Lab is set to begin on Feb. 26, and will culminate with a Gala performance on April 2 at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Harlem Stage, the legendary uptown venue that for over 30 years has promoted the creative legacy of Harlem and artists of color from around the corner and across the globe, is proud to present its Spring 2018 season of performances.
