National Alliance for Musical Theatre presents its 29th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, set for today, October 19, and tomorrow, October 20, 2017 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).  The Los Angeles Music and Art School (LAMusArt) announces its 20th Annual Stars for the Arts Benefit Dinner and Concert, to take place at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles today, September 23rd, 2017 at 6:00pm. The celebratory occasion will feature performances by current LAMusArt students, and Broadway's Carrie St. Louis of Wicked and Rock of Ages acclaim.

Producers Lorne Michaels and Stuart Thompson have announced casting for the world premiere of the Broadway-bound new musical Mean Girls with a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the Paramount Pictures film; music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond; and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.
