Theatre Horizon, a professional theatre company in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is gearing up to welcome a R&B singing carnivorous plant to Norristown. The company will present LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS: IN CONCERT, a highly anticipated show with the award-winning team behind the theatre's 2018 production of THE COLOR PURPLE. The musical's cast, comprised entirely of people of color, will lift their voices to the rafters in this rock musical comedy for a limited engagement of January 24-26, 2020. Holiday cheer is in the air, which means Philadelphia families will celebrate the season once more with Charles Dickens' classic tale, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, live on stage. Walnut Street Theatre (WST) for Kids' favorite hour-long musical adaptation of Dickens' classic novel runs from November 30 through December 22. I think just the nerves of getting out there in front of people and doing something that may be a little outside your wheelhouse gives you the confidence to do that. I took a lot of that in preparing for the role. I was much more nervous getting ready for the role. Once I was up there, I felt pretty good about it. I think it gave me the confidence to be on stage and deal with live crowds.'

Center Theatre Group has announced the four new schools that have been selected to participate in the 2019-2020 Disney Musicals in Schools program. The program is an initiative developed by Disney Theatrical Group to create sustainable theatre programs in under-resourced elementary schools. The four schools are a part of Los Angeles County. The four schools include: Dr. Owen Lloyd Knox Elementary (LAUSD), Eastman Avenue Elementary (LAUSD), Euclid Avenue Elementary (LAUSD) and San Gabriel Avenue Elementary (LAUSD).
