Neil Simon's BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS in Broadway NEIL SIMON'S BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS
Lakewood Playhouse
9/7-9/30/2018
“The Author of ‘The Odd Couple’ Takes You Back to Where It All Began” Eugene Jerome, standing in for the author, is the narrator and central character. Dreaming of baseball and girls, Eugene must cope with the mundane existence of his family life in Brooklyn: formidable mother, overworked father, and his worldly older brother Stanley. Throw into the mix his widowed Aunt Blanche, her two young (but rapidly aging) daughters and you have a recipe for hilarity, served up Simon-style. This bittersweet memoir evocatively captures the life of a struggling Jewish household where, as his father states: "If you didn't have a problem, you wouldn't be living here." A Lakewood Playhouse Premier Parental Advisory: This play contains some mature language, and discussion about puberty, that may be inappropriate for younger children

Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England in Broadway SEVEN HOMELESS MAMMOTHS WANDER NEW ENGLAND
Fantastic.Z Theatre
9/28-10/13/2018
Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England By Madeleine George September 28th – October 13th Stuck in the middle of a campus financial crisis and an awkward love triangle, Dean Cynthia Wreen is tasked with navigating backlash from the community while juggling her relationship with both her current and former girlfriends… who now happen to live under the same roof! What could go wrong when old love meets new in this lesbian romantic comedy directed by Lia Sima Fakhouri? The Cast: DEAN WREEN: Sarah Rose Nottingham Dean Wreen is intelligent, educated, and rational. Despite these qualities, she has decided to invite her ex-girlfriend to live with her and her new girlfriend. All this at home is coupled with the stress of closing down the college's museum in order to make room for more student housing. GREER: Emma Wilkinson Sharp tongued and fiercely independent but faced with a health crisis, Greer is forced to accept help from her long-time ex-girlfriend Dean Wreen. Accepting the invitation to stay with her is only complicated by Wreen’s fresh faced new girlfriend Andromeda. ANDROMEDA: Cassandra Leon Andromeda is a free spirited, 20 something yogini who harbors an obsession with the TV show Friends. Will her positive attitude and fascination with “alternative kinship structures”, be enough to keep her from losing her cool around Greer’s biting wit as they attempt to cohabitate? EARLY MAN 1: Matthew Sythandone One of two highly inaccurate representations of a prehistoric person, this Neanderthal lives in the Pratt Museum’s diorama. Frozen in time, they are forced to witness and to narrate all the “extra-curricular” activities of the students who sneak into the museum. EARLY MAN 2: Monica Domena The second in a pair of historically inaccurate representations of prehistoric people, this Neanderthal also lives in the Pratt Museum’s diorama bearing witness to and narrating all the “after hours” activities of the students who sneak into the museum. THE CARETAKER: Steven Myers As both curator and night watchman, The Caretaker of the museum is facing the end of his career along with the end of his precious charge. Having taken care of the Pratt Museum and it’s 7 mammoth skeletons for decades, he gives voice to the town’s outrage at its closing!
