This December, Quinn who is apparently refusing to leave the business brings his sly wit and unique perspective to A.C.T.'s Strand Theater in the San Francisco debut of his all-new stand-up show, One in Every Crowd. Showcasing his distinctive brand of razor-sharp and intelligent comedy, One in Every Crowd proves that there's always one person in every group situation who ruins everything! The first of several solo-storytellers presented under A.C.T.'s @TheStrand series, One in Every Crowd performs for five performances only December 14 17, 2017. The performance schedule is as follows: Thursday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, December 16 at 7:30 p.m. & 9:30 p.m.; and Sunday, December 17 at 2 p.m.
Stavanger Symphony Orchestra Collaborates with Immigrant Musicians for Free Concert

Last Friday, on the evening of September 15, immigrant musicians joined legendary Norwegian orchestra Stavanger Symphony Orchestra which has collaborated with Stewart Copeland, Faith No More side project Kaada/Patton, Detroit techno icon Jeff Mills, and other pop music luminaries for a free concert to an audience of both immigrants and native Norwegians, right in the foyer of the Stavanger Concert Hall. This is the newest event in a two-year-plus immigrant support project that Stavanger Symphony Orchestra has been running; Drowned in Sound recently detailed this project with an empowering, inspiring feature.

The American Classical Orchestra, the nation's premier orchestra dedicated to period instrument performance (Vulture), presents its first performance of Mozart's choral masterpiece, Mass in C Minor (Robert Levin edition), on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, joined by sopranos H l ne Brunet and Clara Rottsolk, tenor Brian Giebler, bass Stephen Eddy, and the ACO Chorus, led by Music Director and ACO founder Thomas Crawford. The program also includes Cherubini's rarely performed D mophoon Overture, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 8.

Toronto Dance Theatre (TDT) announces the details of its 2017-2018 season, celebrating 50 years of performance that have fundamentally changed the face of Canadian dance. Under the visionary direction of Christopher House, recently named to the Order of Canada, the season kicks off on September 21 with a program of works by TDT founders Patricia Beatty, David Earle and Peter Randazzo presented in partnership with Toronto Heritage Dance. The company then launches into international and national tours, including its first-ever visit to Colombia and a coast-to-coast tour of Western, Eastern and Northern Canada. In the early spring, TDT returns to the Fleck Dance Theatre with an exhilarating program of premieres created in response to Christopher House's masterwork Glass Houses (1983).
