Sonoma State University's Dept. of Theatre Arts & Dance presents the 6th Annual Super Mega Molten Hot Lava New Play Festival. Curated by Scott Horstein, this annual play festival showcases aspiring playwrights with script-in-hand readings of new short plays and longer works from the Department of Theatre Arts & Dance Playwriting Program.
The 2014 festival features the heartwarming to the scandalous.
"We’ve got all kinds of amazing new dramatic worlds this year, from surreal Army posts to creepy beauty pageants,romantic wineries, teenage runaways, hard-boiled detectives and dysfunctional coffee houses to unseen intruders," said Scott Horstein, Assistant Professor of Contemporary Theatre and Dramaturgy.

VENUES / PARKING: From the South entrance on East Cotati Avenue, turn right at the stop sign in front of the information kiosk. Park in Lots E (left) and F (right). Parking in SSU lots is $5 at all times. Permits may be purchased from the vending machines located at the entrance to parking lots, or at toll booths when available.
TICKET PRICES: Free to $6 per person.
Sonoma State University students are admitted free for all performances with valid ID.

On performance nights, depending on the venue, the Person Theatre or Ives Hall box office will open 45 minutes prior to the event start time.
