Scott Joplin was the King of Ragtime, an African American composer and pianist who lived in the Post-Reconstruction South and died in New York City just a couple short months before America entered WWI. Scott Joplin’s New Rag is a multi-character, one-man, musical event written by and starring Robert Barry Fleming which explores the life, times and mind of this remarkable artist. Mo`olelo audiences will remember Robert from his heart wrenching performance in Good Boys and his impeccable direction of Stick Fly.
