Frankenstein in Broadway FRANKENSTEIN
Resurrection Theatre
10/26-11/17/2018
Frankenstein By Jes Gonzales Directed by Shaylene Riffel October 25 - Nov 17, 2018 Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Special Sunday Matinees November 4, 11 at 2pm Wilkerson Theater. Tickets go on sale August 25th and can be purchased online at www.resurrectiontheatre.com or by calling the box office at 916-491-0940 $20 General, $18 Student/Senior/Sarta/Military Join us as we resurrect this classic tale! Four years ago, Resurrection Theatre took on local playwright Jes Gonzales’ Frankenstein. We produced it “in-between” two shows and had it share a stage with Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. It was quite an undertaking and really deserved more than the production it received. Fast forward to 2018...we had to scrap our musical endeavor of Gorey Stories, what were we to do! Well, it is the 200th anniversary of a classic story so what else but resurrect Frankenstein! Jes has refined the script, we have pretty much a whole new cast (Bill Gilbert and Julian Rey Ortega were in the original production) and a whole new director. Continuing our to mission to support young directors, our very own Shaylene Riffel who usually serves as our stage manager/production manager will be taking on the directing duties. Shaylene has some interesting ideas on how to stage and direct the show which Jes is really excited about. We also have the challenge of fitting this story into a smaller theater as it will be playing in the Wilkerson. Join us as we give this classic tale a new life in its 200th year! Cast Victor Frankenstein - Said Noori Robert Walton - Julian Rey Ortega Elizabeth Lavenza - Katie Peters Alphonse Frankenstein/Monsieur Krempe - Stephen Watson The Creature - Bill Gilbert Henry Clerval - Jason Kaye The Hermit - Lee Anthony Williams Professor Waldman/Magistrate - Jonathan Plon Justine Moritz - Meghan Cazadio Captain - Grid Margraf William Frankenstein - Xavier Bustos Sailors/Villager - Jon M Ruiz
