At Yekaterinburg (then Sverdlovsk ) scene in "Le Corsaire " was first staged December 19, 1926 ( choreographer - M.F.Moiseev , conductor and director - N.B.Grubin , art director - A.V.Dubrovin ) .
The emergence of ballet , well accepted by the audience , speaks volumes and , above all, the increased capabilities of the Sverdlovsk Ballet , his indisputable recognition of the audience, and, consequently, the right to establish an independent and much more varied repertoire. Critics , meanwhile, noted choreographer M.F.Moiseeva ability to interesting staging decisions " even the most modest financial and technical capabilities ."
But soon, "Le Corsaire" has disappeared from the repertoire and only eighteen years later he returned to the stage of the theater in the wording choreographer V.A.Kononovicha (conductor - A.G.Fridlender , art director - B.A.Matrunin ) . And it never disappeared from the repertoire for a long time . Since then, this past performance is not passed, perhaps no outstanding dancer or ballerina Yekaterinburg . 26 , 27 and 28 April 2007, at the Yekaterinburg scene "Le Corsaire" appeared in the choreographic version by Jean- Guillaume Bara - choreographer of the Paris Opera .
