The twentieth century has created a giant "watershed" between "serious" music and "easy". I must say that such a separation is almost non-existent at the time of Beethoven, Schubert, Glinka ... The Ballet «creation of the world» first appeared in March 1971 at the scene of the Kirov (now Mariinsky) theater. 60-70-ies – happy time for world choreography, time for new ideas, forms, genres, new heroes, the era of the birth of the true stars of the Ballet (in the "Creation" of the young Mikhail Baryshnikov danced and Irina Kolpakova), while unusually close, loving attention to Ballet in General. But even at that, when outstanding performances appeared regularly y. Grigorovich, Belsky, o. of Vinogradov, light and poetic, ironic and wise Ballet composer a. Petrov and choreographers n. Kasatkina and v. Vasilëva, inspired by the drawings of Merry Frenchman j. Èffelâ, received special recognition.
