This comic gem tells the story of an orphan girl raised by a regiment of male soldiers. She soon discovers that she is the progeny of aristocrats and must not only abandon the culture that she loves, but learn how to fit into noble society. Composed with the same wit as Don Pasquale and Elixir of Love, the opera additionally features the signature aria of Pavarotti’s career with nine high “C”s, “Ah mes ami.” A must see!
