The UC San Diego Department Of Theatre And Dance Presents EVERYBODY BLACK

The UC San Diego Department of Theatre and Dance presents a university production of EVERYBODY BLACK, by Dave Harris and directed by Steve Broadnax.

A group of white historians with lots of money offer to commission a Black Historian to write the definitive version of The Black ExperienceTM with promises of publication. But not just publish it. They are going to put said experience in a time capsule and then put that time capsule on a rocket ship and blast it into space so that on the fateful day when the aliens arrive to our galaxy, they'll read the words and understand what Blackness is. But what they didn't realize is that The Black Historian is absolutely MAD!!!! EVERYBODY BLACK examines Race, Capitalism, Identity, History and Blackness through the imagination of a mad Black Historian.

The preview for EVERYBODY BLACK will be March 6 at 7 pm. The show runs March 8, 9, 15, and 16 at 7:30 pm with an additional 2 pm matinee performance on March 9.
