William Shakespeare's joyous and popular comedy Much Ado About Nothing will open at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the professional theatre on the campus of DeSales University. The show previews July 13 and 14, opens July 15, and runs through August 7 in the Schubert Theatre at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts.
Philadelphia Theatre Company announced the first winner of the newly revived Terrence McNally Award. The theatre wanted to revive the award and had been in discussion with McNally and his husband, producer Tom Kirdahy, to move forward before McNally passed away due to complications of Covid-19 in March 2020.

During the 2020-21 Season, Philadelphia Theatre Company commissioned its first show under Producing Artistic Director Paige Price’s leadership: a new musical from Max Vernon and Erin Courtney called The Tattooed Lady. Planned for its mainstage world premiere production in the fall of 2022, The Tattooed Lady was developed with and will be directed by Ellie Heyman.
