"Backwoods comedy" in the spirit of The Foreigner and Duck Hunter (but rated PG without the "13" quirkiness of Duck). The good ole Turpin family tries to pull themselves together for a funeral. Problems overshadow the occasion, but eccentric, loveable friends and neighbors help out, and prove living and dying in the South is seldom tidy, and sometimes hilarious.
