The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in Broadway THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME
Academy Of Music
2/28-3/5/2017
THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME transferred to London's West End, following a sold-out run at the National's Cottesloe Theatre in 2012. The production received seven 2013 Olivier Awards, including Best New Play. Fifteen-year old Christopher has an extraordinary brain; he is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor's dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever. The production is designed by three-time Olivier Award-winner Bunny Christie, with lighting by Tony Award-winner Paule Constable, video design by Finn Ross, movement by Scott Graham and Olivier Award-winner Steven Hoggett for Frantic Assembly, music by Adrian Sutton and sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph.

Uncle Vanya in Broadway UNCLE VANYA
Hedgerow Theatre
2/9-3/5/2017
Uncle Vanya February 9th - March 5th Hedgerow Theatre Uncle Vanya, by Anton Chekhov, is an examination of humor, hope and loss: loss of love, of ambition, of ideals, and of illusions. Vanya and his niece Sonya have toiled for years to keep the family estate going. Sonya’s father, Professor Serebryakov, and his dazzling young wife Yelena return for a visit, and all old resentments explode and secret longings come to light. Though the play is over a hundred years old, Uncle Vanya probes at timeless questions of human nature and reminds us that Chekhov’s understanding of them is as acute as ever. http://hedgerowtheatre.org/performance-4/mainstage/uncle-vanya/

The Enchanted by Jean Giraudoux in Broadway THE ENCHANTED BY JEAN GIRAUDOUX
Walnut Street Theatre Studio 5
2/7-3/5/2017
“A fascinating, absorbing adventure, full of grace and wit.” --NY Times A schoolteacher in a provincial French town is seduced by the ghost of a murderer. With the aid of the village doctor, she seeks answers regarding the riddle of death. Enter her lover--an ardent bureaucrat who hopes his well-calibrated love will keep her earthbound. A poetically musical and mercurial classic, a clash between the struggles of life and the mystery of death, The Enchanted is the perfect platform for Giraudoux to exercise his signature playful theatricality: characters hilariously and whimsically debate whether our fear of death fuels our love of life and whether the dead could outvote the living if they imprudently returned. Translated by Maurice Valency Featuring: Melissa Amilani Daniel Barland John D’Alonzo Johanna Dunphy Tomas Dura Anna Lou Hearn Candra Kennedy Jane Moore Bob Schmidt David Stanger Directed by Tina Brock and Rob Cutler Costume Design and Set Design: Erica Hoelscher Lighting Design: Peter Whinnery Puppet Design and Execution: Mark Williams Sound Design: Tina Brock February 7 – March 5, 2017 Walnut Street Theatre Studio 5 825 Walnut Street (Fifth Floor) Philadelphia, PA 19107 Wednesday thru Saturday Evenings - 7:30 pm Sunday Matinees - 2:30 pm Tickets: http://TheEnchanted.bpt.me. call 215.285.0472 or email info@idiopathicridiculopathyconsortium.org Preview Performances (2/7, 2/8) - $15 Wednesday & Thursday - $22 Friday, Saturday & Sunday - $25 Seating is limited; early arrival is encouraged.
