With the introduction of the famous Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Lima Philharmonic Society Centennial on Wednesday inaugurated its traditional April 23 Subscription Season 2014, initiating the celebrations for 107 years of life dedicated to spreading the good music.
As every year since 1907, the Philharmonic Society presents its annual concert series by parading the most famous exponents of the global music scene with promising talents coming becoming of international critical attention.
This year the traditional Season Ticket has 18 notable concerts by renowned soloists such as pianist Barry Douglas, violinist and Grammy winner Maxim Vengerov, Daniel Hope and orchestra L'Art World, Ray Chen and the famous Emerson quartets and Mandelring, among other prominent figures. Worth mentioning the presence for the first time in Peru, countertenor Philippe Jaroussky the famed and their grouping Artaserse.
