Broadway Records announced today the official release of An American Victory: A New Musical. The studio cast recording is now available for pre-order at http://www.broadwayrecords.com and Amazon, and will be available on iTunes and other retailers on April 22, 2016. Featuring an all-star cast headlined by Ashley Brown, Adam Jacobs, John Owen-Jones, Ramin Karimloo, Hugh Panaro and Aaron Tveit, this sweeping, epic album features twenty-one songs from the musical written by new composer Louis R. Bucalo. An American Victory is set in 1801, as America experiences brutal attacks on its ships by government sponsored pirates, whose extortion demands have grown to reach twenty percent of the entire government's budget. It's been 30 years since Claude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil's phenomenon of a musical opened in London and finally videos have just started to appear online from the special 30th Anniversary event, including Patti LuPone, Colm Wilkinson, Frances Rufelle, John Owen Jones, Geronimo Rauch, Peter Lockyer, Rachelle Ann Go, Carrie Hope Fletcher and other members of the current and original cast!
The pair recently released a concept recording of four songs written for a theoretical RATATOUILLE musical, with visuals from the film to go with them. They explicitly state, however, that they did not do this with Disney's sanction, so this seems to be more a strong hint to Disney than an assignment. Check out the live studio recording below!

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the musical THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Andrew Lloyd Webber introduced a unique performance of the title number from the musical at this year's Royal Variety Performance. Starring four acclaimed ‘Phantoms' - Simon Bowman, Earl Carpenter, Ramin Karimloo and John Owen-Jones, the performance also featured international pop-star Nicole Scherzinger as 'Christine'.
