San Diego Repertory Theatre announced the cast lineup for Fun Home, one of the most celebrated musicals in recent Broadway history. Fun Home is the coming-out memoir of Alison Bechdel, an exploration of family, memory, first love and a daughter's relationship with her father. Fun Home was nominated for 12 Tony Awards in 2015 winning five including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Leading Actor and Actress in a Musical. Fun Home was also winner of the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Musical, Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical and the Obie Award for Musical Theatre.

After their opening night was rained out on Friday, July 20th, the diverse and youthful cast of Hairspray at The Jenny Wiley Theatre, an outdoor amphitheatre in Prestonsburg, Kentucky--population 3,255 -- celebrated their work and art by transforming a local pizzeria into a piano bar and joyfully singing through a concert of the show for an enthusiastic local crowd. The second performance on Saturday, July 21st, made it to the end of Act 1... when another severe storm broke loose.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) announces the casting for the final production of the 2018 Nutmeg Summer Series: 'Jesus Christ Superstar', the iconic rock opera based on the last week of Jesus' life that has blown away audiences for over 40 years. YouTube announced that it has ordered a second season of the wildly-popular and critically-acclaimed hit series COBRA KAI from Sony Pictures Television and Overbrook Entertainment. Since its debut on May 4, the first episode of COBRA KAI has generated over 20 million views. Series stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are set to return for a second season. The 10-episode, half-hour series will begin production this fall and debut on YouTube Red in 2019.

From YouTube, Sony Pictures Television and Overbrook Entertainment comes the debut full-length premise trailer for the YouTube Red Original series Cobra Kai, a reimagined take on the legendary Karate Kid saga, starring Ralph Macchio and William Zabka who will be reprising their iconic roles.

Nashville has set the dates for its midseason return, as well as the series finale, according to Deadline. The show will return on June 7, and the finale is set for July 26. Watch the promo video below!
