Traverse Theatre Company will be in New York this April, taking Fringe 2013 hits A Respectable Widow Takes to Vulgarity and Clean for a month-long run at 59E59 Theaters, marking New York's Scotland Week (today 3 - 10 April) as part of 59E59 Theaters' Brits Off Broadway season.

Full casting is announced today for Tony Award-winning Broadway musical In The Heights, which receives its London Premiere in a brand new production in The Large at Southwark Playhouse from Friday 9 May

Following the sell-out success of its workshop as part of Vibrant 2012 - A Festival of Finborough Playwrights, and as part of the Finborough Theatre's acclaimed Celebrating British Music Theatre series, the world premiere of a new musical adaptation of the classic French novel Therese Raquin opens at the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre for a four week run, opening tonight, 25 March 2014 (Press Night: Thursday, 27 March 2014 at 7.30pm), starring Julie Atherton and Olivier Award nominee Tara Hugo.

Martin Witts and Lesley Ackland for London International Arts Ltd present the World Premiere of a new British musical, winner of Leicester Square Theatre's The New Musical Project, Oscar Wilde's De Profundis, featuring Music & Lyrics by Paul Dale Vickers. The National Theatre's award-winning comedy directed by Nicholas Hytner, One Man, Two Guvnors comes to the King's Theatre Glasgow on Monday 30 June until Saturday 5 July as part of a thirty-seven city tour of the UK & Ireland.

The Watermill has announced its next production of Jane Austen's much loved classic Sense and Sensibility, which will play from Thursday 3 April 2014 (press night Monday 7 April at 7.30pm) in a brand new adaptation by Jessica Swale.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre continues the second half of its season with Tribes, a sophisticated and moving family drama by celebrated British playwright Nina Raine. Her profound and powerful new play became an award-winning hit in London and New York. Now renowned director Jonathan Moscone brings it to Berkeley Rep this April for its Bay Area premiere. Tribes follows Billy, a young man who was born deaf into a loquacious and highly opinionated academic family who raised him to lip-read and integrate into the hearing world. When he meets Sylvia - raised by Deaf parents and going deaf herself - Billy decides it's time to speak on his own terms and to be heard. Playing out in words, sign language, and sometimes mesmerizing silence, this penetrating drama examines familial love, notions of belonging, and the intersections of communication. Tribes start previews Friday, April 11, opens on April 16, and closes on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

59E59 Theaters will launch the Scotland Week celebrations with US premiere of the double bill of A RESPECTABLE WIDOW TAKES TO VULGARITY by Douglas Maxwell and CLEAN by Sabrina Mahfouz, both directed by Orla O'Loughlin. Produced by the Traverse Theatre, A RESPECTABLE WIDOW TAKES TO VULGARITY and CLEAN begin performances on Wednesday, April 2 for a limited engagement through Saturday, April 26. Press opening is Wednesday, April 9 at 7:15 PM.

Mark Arden as Fred, Ryan Molloy as Horace, Stefan Booth as Tosher, Christopher Ryan as Red Hot, Vivian Carter as Myrtle, Stevie Hutchinson as Ted/PC 2, John Olohan as Paddy, Gary Watson as Norman/PC 1 andJoanna Woodward as Margaret join the previously announced BAFTA nominated Jessie Wallace (EastEnders) as Lil, Gary Kemp (The Krays/ The Bodyguard/Spandau Ballet) as PC Collins, Sarah Middleton as Rosie, Ruth Alfie Adams as Brenda, Will Barton as Percy and Suzie Chard as Betty to complete the cast of Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be.

Jamie Lloyd is directing the UK premiere of URINETOWN The Musical, with music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis. The musical runs at the St James Theatre from tonight, 22 February until 3 May 2014, with opening night on 11 March 2014.

Tony Award-winning Broadway musical In The Heights will receive its London Premiere in a brand new production in The Large at Southwark Playhouse from Friday 9 May (press night Thursday 15 May at 8.00pm) it was announced today.

From 2 May - 5 July, Kent-based theatre company Transport will tour their compelling family production of 1001 Nights around the UK. Devised and directed by Transport Theatre's Artistic Director Douglas Rintoul, the production premiered at the Unicorn Theatre in 2013, where it was nominated for an Off West End Award for Best Production for Young People.

West End and Musical theatre star Warren Sollars (Mamma Mia!, From Here To Eternity) will lead the cast of the musical 20th Century Boy, playing the Glam Rock legend Marc Bolan. He will be joined by TV stars Sue Jenkins (Brookside, Coronation Street) and Luke Bailey (Waterloo Road, Casualty).

Following a critically acclaimed and sell-out run at the Finborough Theatre, the first production in sixty years of R. C. Sherriff's supernatural drama, The White Carnation transfers for a limited three week run to Jermyn Street Theatre, opening tonight, 4 February 2014 (Press Night: Thursday, 6 February 2014 at 7.30pm). The show stars Michael Praed (Design for Living - West End, Robin of Sherwood, Dynasty) who joins the existing superlative Finborough Theatre cast, which includes acclaimed newcomer Daisy Boulton and Benjamin Whitrow (Mr. Bennet in BBC's Pride and Prejudice).

Comedy stars Mark Heap and Robert Webb will head to the West End to play the roles of Jeeves and Wooster in the five-star hit Perfect Nonsense taking over from Stephen Mangan and Matthew Macfadyen from 7 April 2014. Mark Hadfield will continue in the role of Seppings alongside Heap and Webb.

2014 sees the anniversary of Shakespeare's birth and to mark the occasion internationally acclaimed all-male Shakespeare company, Propeller, return to Coventry's Belgrade Theatre with their adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Comedy of Errors on the Main Stage from Tues 11 to Sat 15 Feb.
